What I am going to do next...

I have three small pieces in mind for this project. A small oil painting, a small sculpture, and a little something else. I can not descibe the last one.
Any way, the oil painting will be on a small canvas and will have a womans face and flowers, something leaning towards the surreal side. I plan on greens and blues with yellow and pink accents.
The sculpture will be a slender, flowing figure with stainglass in the background. If all works well I hope to scraffeto the project.
The last one is a half idea, I wish to do some tort  putty project on a canvas. This one I plan to do much later because I am still shaky on how and what to do with it. But i feel a very earth oriented, young faced figure will be put into the putty.

Assiginment 3: Artist

This is an oil painting by Sergey Laisk. I love the smooth look of the figure and the warm colors. The way light is bounced around the figure and glows from the very center suits the name of this image. Internal Peace. I like the nature elements of the piece, the appearce of water, light, stone, and flesh fused with metal. This is a thing beauty.

Assignment 2: Forcing Connections

3/5 Colorful
                (unknown)

3/6 Bold

(U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration)
3/7 Different

               (unknown)
                  (Glen Karlsen)
         (Angela)
3/8 smooth
          (unknown)
This is Pahoehoe lave which literally translates to smooth lave. Curves and softness are very easy on the eye and an important aspect to most of my work.

          (unknown)
3/9 Natural

All of theses are from Wikipedia and every picture is an image of naturally occurring events, wind cut stone, autumn leaves in the mountains, and a water spout in Florida. Nature is by far the most inspirational artist known to man and she is very talented in all mediums the world over. Nature offers infinite examples of beauty.

Assignment 1: The Big Idea
My idea for this big project bounces between beauty and death. Both are interesting subjects with a wide range of subcategories and hundreds if not thousands of meanings and interpretations.

Under beauty I could look into the topics of female beauty, ideal beauty, my idea of beauty, male beauty, cultural beauty, stereotypical beauty, new beauty versus old.... Human beauty or animal, however I perfer to look into human beauty.
What is beauty? Something charming and aweinspiring, it is natural.
Is it the same or different for men and women? It is different with everyone and everything.
Is it simple? One of the simplest concepts, something either is or is not beautiful.
What are the cultural prefences to beauty? Of course
Is it skin deep or down to the core? There are many layers of beauty to me.
Is it in the stroke of the piece or the subject matter? Every detail counts when it comes to beauty.
What do I consider beautiful? Both simple and complex images, experiences, peoples, and ideas.

Then there is the subject of death. I could look into types of death or relgious ideas of the world after. I could look into creatures involved in death, literally or in myths.
What is death to me? Something no one knows about.
Is death good or bad? For some it may be bad and others good. We do not know about the otherside.
Is it inevitable? As far as we know.
Is it aweful or beautiful? sSometims aweful but hopefully beautiful on the otherside.

Simplicity

File:Water droplet blue bg05.jpg
A simple drop of water. It is pure and curved, glistens and easy going. I love images of water for the unique forms every agitation of water creats. They are as clear and beautiful as diamonds while also sustaining life. Producing colors, enhancing images, and reminding people of memories are just a few of the talents water posses. I wish for all my art pieces to share a few qualities of water.
